For 5 years, Free Comic Book Day has been a celebration of the industry and a way to draw in new readers. The event gets bigger every year and is now reaching a surprising amount of readers. It's estimated that approximately 500,000 people attended FCBD last year, and this year, the event will take place in nearly 2,000 comic book stores in 38 countries, with almost 2.2 million comics available to give away.
