The Countdown, Days 12-14

Well, life and sickness got in the way of the countdown the last couple of days, so here we are with a triple shot of Countdown to Roo goodness. A "triple play" if you will. For this selection, I decided to go with three powerhouses that really don't need a heck of a whole lot of explaining.

First up is blues legend and guitar god B.B. King. The track selected is a live cut of "How Blue Can You Get".

Next is the legendary Phil Lesh, formerly of The Greatful Dead. Here is Lesh, a staple of the Bonnaroo festival, performing a great cover of "Midnight Rider" from a 2007 Red Rocks show.

Finally, we wrap with heavy metal rockers Metallica. I have never been a big fan of the group myself and am quite shocked they are playing Roo to be honest. I do dig their cover of Bob Seger's "Turn the Page" however. While it might not be a prime example of their "sound", it's the selection I choose to share with you today.
